Celebrating 10 years of
'Advancing with Knowledge', the 2009 conference will
focus on reviewing the accumulated knowledge and
clinical wisdom over the past 10 years for the High
Prevalence Disorders - anxiety conditions, mood
disorders and substance abuse.
The conference theme is year is ‘Looking Back
- Moving Forward’.
The conference will canvass future
developments in treatment approaches for these
conditions. The keynote stream of the meeting will bring
in Australian, New Zealand and other International
experts to review the 'state of play' in knowledge and
practice for the main high prevalence disorders.
Others topics that are relevant to the conference will be
welcome.
Important Dates
1. Email broadcast with call for abstracts on the 22nd Nov 2008.
2. Abstract submission open until the 14th April 2009.
3. All speakers notified of the status of their submission by the 16th
April 2009
4. Provisional program published 17th April 2009
Authors or organisations interested in submitting a paper or
attending/presenting a workshop are invited to submit an
abstract of no more than 250 words outlining the aims, contents and conclusions of their paper or presentation; or about their intended role in a workshop.
The conference papers will be presented on four streams,
presenters will be allocated a stream at time of publication.
All proposals will be reviewed by the Conference Steering Committee. Presentations will be selected to provide a program that offers a comprehensive and diverse treatment of issues related to the conference theme.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be advised on 17th April 2008
of the acceptance of their paper. A provisional program will be
available on the conference website by the 27th April 2008.
Bone fide academics and students from universities, who wish
their conference papers to be recognised as a research
publication, may request formal review of their papers at the
time of submission of their abstracts.
Authors must register for the conference or, where a paper is written by joint authors, at least one author is required to register.
Final papers must be submitted electronically or on CD.
