(During 2009-10, the Mental Health Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme: Mental Health Nurses will be consolidated into the Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship and Support Scheme).
Scholarships are available for students studying in 2010 or at the start of
Semester 2 or Trimester 2 of the 2010 academic year where the university only
offers a mid-year intake. Scholarships will be paid based on the successful
applicants study load per semester.
The scholarships are worth up to $15,000 per annum for full time study and up to
$7,500 per annum for part time study up to a maximum of $30,000 per applicant.

from 12 September 2009 and will close on 23 October 2009.
Eligibility Criteria
• Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Applicants must be a registered nurse with a current practicing certificate.
Selection will be based on criteria including demonstrated interest and
experience in Mental Health Nursing. Selection is not based on academic
achievement.
Students, who are practicing in rural and remote areas, are an Aboriginal or
Torres Strait Islander person or currently working in the Mental Health sector
will be given preference.
