Tools for Inviting Engagement

This interactive and participatory workshop demonstrates the possibilities of building therapeutic and transformational conversations in different ways by introducing simple visual and tactile prompts.

Tools such as 'Strength Cards' were purchased, distributed and widely used by human service workers in many different roles in the aftermath of the Black Saturday fires in Victoria.

These materials have all grown out of St Luke's social work programs and are used extensively throughout Australia and in many other countries.

This practical and inspiring workshop honours theories of multiple intelligences and weaves playfulness and soulfulness together to invite engagement, to build healing and therapeutic conversations, and to help us get to 'the important stuff'.
